Looking for a good book to read? Now you can find that book in Jomtien Complex and help out a worthy charity!

Ganymede Bar & Residence has teamed up with Thais4Life and now offers a selection from the 40.000+ titles from the best bookshop in Pattaya.

You can purchase any of their books for just 80 baht each. Once finished, you can return it and exchange it for another book for only 40 baht.

The main Thais4Life Bookshop is located in Soi Yensabai Condotel off Soi VC.

By supporting Thais4Life you will be helping Thais with medical and special needs, including those in orphanage institutions.

Take Care Charity Night @ Ganymede

Despite the threat of rain, a record crowd turned out at Ganymede Bar for their TAKE CARE!! Charity Night.

Over 100 people attended ( a TAKE CARE!! record) and well over 60,000 Baht was raised (final numbers will be released by TAKE CARE!!).


Live music, a great buffet, Underwear Fashion Show & Auction, Lucky Draws and the B Boys Break Dancers rounded out the evening's entertainment.

Thanks to all who attended this worthwhile event.

Spilia Karaoke continues to be a very popular late night spot - and now it's open even later.  Due to popular demand, Spilia has adjusted it's hours.

Now, you can sing til the sun comes up!  Spilia is now open from 10pm - 6am nightly.  Come join the party!

Ganymede to Host Take Care Charity Night in April

Ganymede Bar & Residence will host a special Charity Night for TAKE CARE on Saturday April 9th from 8pm to Midnight.

The mission of the TAKE CARE!!  SAFER SEX PROJECT is to provide information regarding PREVENTION of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI's) as well as distributing safe sex packs containing condoms and lube to encourage prevention of various STI's, including HIV.

Full details for the evening's entertainment are being finalized and will be detailed in a future post.

There will be Food, Live Music, Guest Entertainers, Lucky Draws and a few surprises along the way. 

 We encourage everyone to come and support this worthwhile Charity.

Due to Bar closings in observance of Makha Bucha Day (Friday Feb 18th), Ganymede will hold their Live Music Friday on Saturday this week only.

This Week in Jomtien Beach

Dolce Vita Bar began their "All You Can Eat BBQ Buffet" last Saturday Night. On Saturdays, at 7pm you can enjoy great BBQ for only 199 Baht!!

In other Dolce Vita Bar news, they have taken over the bar next door (formerly Lubov Boys) and are expanding their Terrace Bar. Work has begun and the expanded seating will be available soon!

Question Mark Bar & Q.M. Bar will hold their big Valentines Party Monday Night (Feb 14) starting at 8pm. Great Food, live music and oh!, those boys....



Friday is Makha Bucha Day, one of the most important Buddhist Holidays in Thailand. Most Bars will be closed in observance.

Due to Makha Bucha Day falling on Friday this year, Ganymede Bar will re-schedule their weekly Live Music Happy Hour to Saturday night.

Ganymede to Continue Live Music Happy Hour

Ganymede Bar & Residence held their first Live Music Happy Hour last night (Friday, Feb 11).

The turn out exceed expectations and the food and music were so popular, the management has decided to continue the event every Friday night  (at least through high season).

The music was provided by the Thai Duo "New Tree"  who rocked the house with great music from the 60's, 70's and to the present day. Food was provided by Sam's Mexican Restaurant.

The party returns next Friday night, 6pm - 8pm February 18th on the terrace. Below are some pictures from the event.

Ganymede's Grand Open House Party, held last night, was a huge success! A large crowd descended on the Bar  before 8pm and continued into the very wee hours of Sunday morning!


The Sauna officially opens for general business today (Jan 9th) at 3pm. Admission is 150 baht.

Big Doings on "The Other Soi"

Spilia Karaoke - Themae Sauna - Ganymede Bar & Residence

For those familiar with Jomtien Complex, the majority of the bars and restaurants have been traditionally located on the north soi (closest to Pattaya). These establishments include Question Mark, Two Faces, Dolce Vita & The Venue.

Now, "the other soi" is breaking into the big time with the addition of two new nightspots - Spilia Karaoke and Themae Sauna (both part of Ganymede).

A Grand Opening Party is planned for Saturday, January 8th from 8pm - Midnight featuring free food, live entertainment and prize giveaways throughout the night.

Spilia Karaoke (Greek for "Cave"), which is now open nightly from 8pm offers the interactive fun of Karaoke in the main room as well as three spacious private rooms. These rooms are perfect for Birthday Parties and Special Events or for the person who wants to sing but prefers not having an audience!

The Bar offers both individual drinks or by the bottle (including mixers).

During the "non-karaoke hours", Sporting Events including Golf, Tennis and Formula 1 Racing,will be shown on the large screen TV.

Dry Sauna at Themae

Themae Sauna (which opens Jan 8th) features an Indoor Pool, Wet Suana, Dry Sauna, Massage Rooms, Relaxation Areas and, of course a Bar. The Sauna will be open daily from 3pm.

Of course, all of this is right next door to Ganymede Bar & Residence. Ganymede Bar, which opened in May 2009 features a friendly staff on the Terrace Bar, "local" drink prices, Happy Hour from 4pm - 8pm, music always at a comfortable level to allow conversation, a pool table, free WiFi in the Bar all in a Greek themed atmosphere.
